About Me
Who am I?
It’s funny that whenever software developers get really deep into code design the conversation inevitably turns somewhat philosophical. A seemingly innocuous conversation about an eCommerce system can take a sharp turn off a cliff with questions like: What is a product? What is the essence of a sale? What are we really trying to accomplish with this system? Depending on the preferences of the architects involved, these types of questions can easily eat up hours of valuable time that could be better spent playing Angry Birds.
I started to go down a similar path of digression thinking about how to provide a succinct description of who I am, but I am going to pull myself out of that hole by doing what I do best. BULLET POINTS!!!
- Education: Computer Science Major at Boston College (Go Eagles!) and all-around dork at Delbarton H.S. in Morristown, NJ
- Work: Currently the CTO of Mesh01, but previously the Loan Originations Software Development Manager at Wells Fargo Dealer Services.
- Passion: Writing code, problem solving and building kick-ass development teams
- Fun: Big time soccer (i.e. futbol) fan. Besides playing soccer, I am an avid runner and I will destroy you at Beirut.
Honestly, if you are reading this blog, getting an email from me or seeing anything else I write, you better get used to bullet points. I love ‘em! Actually, I think the issue is that without them I just ramble on endlessly. Speaking of rambling…
What is up with this website?
I am wiser than this man, for neither of us appears to know anything great and good; but he fancies he knows something, although he knows nothing; whereas I, as I do not know anything, so I do not fancy I do. In this trifling particular, then, I appear to be wiser than he, because I do not fancy I know what I do not know.
If you came here looking for someone who knows something, you came to the wrong place. I try to use this blog as an output for ideas and theories about IT, Systems Development, Entrepreneurism, Co-Creation, Space Elevators and a number of other geeky topics. It is up to you to decide whether my theories ring true for you or if you think I am full of it. Either way, I hope you enjoy the blog and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have with any of my posts or related topics.
